Are you looking to brew a refreshing and health-boosting tea at home? Follow these simple steps to make our House Lemon Ginger Turmeric Honey Tea. This guide ensures your ingredients are clean, fresh, and packed with flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 5kg of lemons

  • 2.7 kg of fresh ginger

  • 1kg of fresh turmeric root

  • 5kg raw (unrefined) sugar

  • 750g of New Zealand honey

Equipment:

  • Sterilized glass jars with lids

  • Large pot

  • Cutting board and knife

  • Tongs

  • Spoon for stirring

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Sterilize the Jars: Start by sterilizing your jars. Wash them with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and place them in a large pot. Cover with water, bring to a boil, and let them boil for at least 10 minutes. Carefully remove with tongs and let them dry on a clean towel.

2. Clean the Lemons: To remove any wax from the lemons, scrub them with baking soda. Then, dunk them in boiling water for about 10 seconds. Give them another scrub with baking soda to ensure all the wax is removed, rinse them with cold water, and pat them dry thoroughly. (Generally, you can scrub only once)

3. Prepare the Lemons: Slice the lemons and remove all the seeds to avoid bitterness. Set aside 2.5kg of sliced lemons and extract 100% fresh juice from 500g of lemons.

4. Prepare the Ginger and Turmeric: Wash the ginger and turmeric thoroughly and peel them. Slice the ginger and grind some of it along with the turmeric to ensure you get all the health benefits in your tea.

5. Mix with Unrefined Sugar : To preserve it, mix with unrefined sugar.

6. Store with Honey: Top it up with New Zealand honey. Seal the jars tightly and store them in the refrigerator.

7. Serve: To enjoy your House Lemon Ginger Turmeric Honey Tea, mix a few tablespoons of the concentrate with hot or cold water. Stir well and savor the delicious blend of flavors and health benefits in every sip.
